The Automated Claims Map System (ACMaps) is a effort by Ministry of Northern Development and Mines to automate the mining claim map management and production cycle through a turnkey GIS solution. ACMaps provides a standardized map maintenance routine and a public interface for performing claim related research.
The build and implementation of the ACMaps application is based on the design and functional specifications identified during the design and prototype project. ACMaps is being developed as a provincial network application capable of handling all life cycle aspects of the claims related map management.
The application utilizes the UNIX based Genasys II Inc. GenaMap and Genius GIS software and Oracle RDB, PL/SQL, SQL*PLUS and SQL*FORMS 4 software. Access to the application is available from any PC or Macintosh with X11 emulation software or from a UNIX platform.
